About Ian Morris

Ian is a graduate of the "Royal Navy School of Engineering" in Rosyth, Scotland. Leaving the Royal Navy in 1995 as a Chief Petty Officer, Ian moved into the large yacht industry as a Chief Engineer. He has worked on yachts up to 196 FT and has managed multi-million dollar refit projects. More recently he is a graduate of Chapman's School "Marine Surveying of Yachts and Small Craft", and has achieved Accredited Marine Surveyor status with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors®. Ian brings a wealth of experience to marine surveying, particularly in metal construction (steel and aluminum) and engineering systems (electrical and mechanical).
